Zoo
Animals are such agreeable friends.
They ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.—
George Eliot

Molly van Aartrijk, CSO, CNO
This purebred Yellow Labrador Retriever, trained to attack with fierce licking, is Aartrijk’s on-site corporate watchdog. Molly joined the firm in 1999, and in 2001 she was promoted to Chief Security Officer. This was after an internship that involved harassing the cleaning crew, UPS, Deer Park deliveryman and certain clients. In 2004 she assumed the additional title of Chief Napping Officer—well earned and a relief to all.

Betty van Aartrijk
Molly’s new associate is apprenticing in office etiquette and wooing of clients and passersby alike. Favorite meal: Peter’s shoes. Favorite comic strip: Marmaduke. Favorite time of day: when something outside moves.

Bruce Amrhein
Bruce was affectionately named after Bruce Springsteen, and he does like to howl when “Badlands” is blaring in the car. Rat terriers chase vermin from their hiding places, and Bruce’s suspicion of some of Kevin’s friends has us all wondering about the company he’s keeping.

Guinness & Harp Bentley
The “Irish beer twins” were born in a Lorton Prison, and they still have some bad tendencies, including a level of laziness that puts other cats to shame. And after years of living the soft life, they’ve completely lost their bravado and now are afraid even of the vacuum.

Cheyenne & Fancy Donohue
Cheyenne the registered quarter horse “loves to trail ride” with Laurie amongst the fields and farms of New Hampshire, while Fancy thes golden retriever is known to retreat … to the floor in front of the television to watch “Animal Cops” and “The Dog Whisperer” at Laurie’s feet. Now, if she could just fetch that remote control that dropped on the floor.

Grace the Cattle Dog Donohue
This fine specimen, owned by Laurie, helps with herding the Aartrijk team when they’re out the range.

Sandy Morgan
This 9-year-old Husky Shepherd mix loves roaming the back roads of the U.S. in Rick’s 26ft. Winnebago. Rick usually drives.

Stinky Pete & Twyla Smith
Really, the names tell the whole story.

The Scarlet Knight and The Horse (Wasilewski)
This ageless wonder roams the sideline at Rutgers football home games at the alma mater of Charles and Peter. When not writing sharp copy, pithy tag lines, and informative articles, Charles can be found in section 124 of Rutgers Stadium watching his beloved Scarlet Knights football team. A horse is a horse of course, of course. No one can talk to a horse of course.

Moyo, Chloe & Whiskers Willis
Rhodesian Ridgeback Moyo, a Willis since his summer of ‘07 birth, welcomed Chloe, a Ridgeback rescue from Northern Virginia who is seven years his senior, in late ‘08. Whiskers welcomed neither. The doggie duo operates at two speeds: “straight out” and “knocked out.” Whiskers’ well-timed snarling generally keeps both hounds at bay.
